Arrival Day

You will be met at Barcelona airport by a LeRipp representative and driven to your accommodation in the mountains. Upon arrival you will have time to settle in and make sure you have everything for the big adventure.

Day 1

We usually invite the guide to join us for breakfast to get to know the group and explain the plan for the coming days. Our first day is normally spent close by to test the level of the group and to adjust the itinerary to be best suited for the whole group. After a full day of riding, laughing and sweating, we will head back to the guest house.

Day 2 - 6

The idea is to start in the West of the Pyrenees in Bergueda and move East through Cerdanya and continue towards Tremp. If the weather allows we might move even further East. We will do alot of alpine crossings covering a few valleys For the day when we are staying at the mountain hut, we have a couple of options, one of them where we hike a bike for approximately 600 m, and then enjoy a descent of over 2000 meter vertical.

Departure Day

On our last day we will take it easy in the morning, round off the trip and return back East and to the airport in Barcelona.

TRIP ENQUIRY

During our the Pyrenees Explorer we will be staying in a mix of hotels, guest houses and mountain huts along the way. You will be spending 3 nights in Berguedà, 2 nights in Cerdanya and 2 nights in Tremp.

TRIP ENQUIRY

Given the variety of the terrain, we have a lot of opportunities to cater to all levels. To make sure you enjoy Berga to its full extent we recommend you are comfortable on your bike in both forest, alpine and technical terrain.

For the MTB tours the trails are usually accessed by shuttle, but in order to reach our favourite trails we typically pedal and push for shorter sections of up to 30 minutes.

Skill Level Recommended:

Advanced

Roots, rocks, drops and tight switchbacks are no match for you even in steep and exposed terrain. You feel confident in riding longer trails with sustained technical features as well as handling some exposed sections with no-fall zones.

Fitness Level Recommended:

The Striving Prospect

You can pedal uphill 1 hour per day and climb 300m during consecutive days riding. You don't mind steep uphill climbs for about 10 to 15 minutes at the time. Downhill you happily ride up to 3000 verticals per day. You exercise on average 2 times per week.

Arrival Day

You will be met at Barcelona airport by a LeRipp representative and driven to your accommodation in the mountains. Upon arrival you will have time to settle in and make sure you have everything for the first day of riding.

Day 1

We usually invite the guide to join for breakfast to get to know the group and explain the plan for the coming days. Our first day is normally spent close by to test the level of the group and to adjust the itinerary to be best suited for the whole group. After a full day of riding, laughing and sweating, we will head back to the chalet.

Day 2 (or Day 2 & 3 on week-long trips)

Based on the first day we start exploring more of the hundreds of combinations of daily tours on both the Spanish and french sides of the border. To ease into it, day 2 includes more shuttling to cover more descents.

Day 3 (or Day 4-6 on week-long trips)

Big mission days. Normally, we will doing an alpine crossing covering a few valleys at least one of the days (weather permitting). This day will involve more pedalling to get access to some of the more remote areas which promise magnificent views and less explored trails. Towards day 6 we can either go back and re-do some of the favourite trails from the previous days or continue exploring - it is completely up to you!

Departure Day

On our last day there is flexibility, either we will continue to explore the combinations of trails available at your doorstep or we take it easy in the morning, round off the trip and return back to the airport.

TRIP ENQUIRY

During our "Local Explorer" tour we typically stay in a local rural guest house (Moli del Caso) in Terradellas. It's ideally located at the foot of many of our trails, making the riding very efficient as well as minimising the shuttle times.

Moli del Caso is an old mill from the 19th century which has been restored and turned into a rural cottage according to the 3 "R" philosophy: Recycle, Reduce and Reuse. Most of the food cooked in the guest house is harvested from their own ecological garden.

There are 6 rooms in total and for a group of 6 clients, you will have the house all to yourselves.
