Day 2 (or Day 2 & 3 on longer trips)

Based on the first day, we start exploring more of the different combinations of daily tours available to us. After a few runs in the mornings we will stop for lunch at a local restaurant or a scenic spot for a picnic. Depending on your energy level we will keep riding for a few more hours or take it easy and enjoy some time to relax.

We will keep exploring the the various trails in the the region. Starting in Terras de Bouro, get ready to tackle some challenging terrain as you make your way through the breathtaking Peneda-Gerês National Park. With its rugged mountains, crystal-clear lakes, and lush forests, this area is a paradise for mountain bikers looking for a challenge. Moving on to the charming town of Ponte de Lima, where you can explore the beautiful Lima River valley and its picturesque villages. Given the variety of the terrain, we have a lot of opportunities to cater to all levels. To make sure you enjoy The North to its full extent we recommend you are comfortable on your bike in both forest, rocky and technical terrain.

For the MTB tours the trails are partially accessed by shuttle, but in order to reach our favourite trails we typically pedal and push for shorter sections of up to 30 minutes.

Skill Level Recommended:

Intermediate

You have ridden enduro and/or downhill mountain biking at least 10 times and master root sections and rock gardens as long as it's not too steep. You still handle the steeper trails while they are not too technical.

Fitness Level Recommended:

The Striving Prospect

You can pedal uphill 1 hour per day and climb 300m during consecutive days riding. You don't mind steep uphill climbs for about 10 to 15 minutes at the time. Downhill you happily ride up to 3000 verticals per day. You exercise on average 2 times per week.

E-Biking Portugal's Coastal Mountains

Rugged Atlantic coastlines. Granite peaks rising from mystical forests. Ancient trails connecting stone villages and vineyards. Portugal's diverse terrain offers exceptional riding and e-bikes let you experience more of it in a single trip.

Sintra, just west of Lisbon, is Portugal's mountain biking crown jewel. E-bikes handle the climbs through Sintra-Cascais Natural Park so you can focus on the fun descents through oak forests and granite rock gardens. Trails wind from rainforest singletracks to ridgelines that drop straight to the Atlantic. World-class terrain meets coastal sunsets, local wine bars, and UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Northern Portugal reveals a different character. Wild granite ridgelines, forest singletracks, hidden trails through stone villages. E-bikes tackle climbs around Terras de Bouro and Viana do Castelo, linking fast technical descents, natural jumps, and open viewpoints across Peneda-Gerês. Toast rides with Vinho Verde in the Minho Valley.

What ties these regions together is Portugal’s rhythm. Trails flow naturally through working landscapes, where farming, fishing, and village life continue much as they always have. E-biking here isn’t about speed, it’s about access. Reaching remote viewpoints, linking diverse trail systems, and finishing rides with time left to enjoy long lunches, ocean swims, or quiet evenings in historic towns.

The Atlantic climate means year-round riding. Spring brings wildflowers and perfect temperatures. Summer offers early coastal starts and beach dips. Autumn lights up northern forests with golden colors. Winter stays dry and rideable.
