Arrival Day

You will be met at Porto airport and driven to your guest house/hotel. Upon arrival you will have time to settle in and make sure you have everything for the first day of riding.

Day 1

After breakfast you will head out for your first day of riding. Typically, on our first day we start with some warm-up trails to become one with the bike and to adjust the itinerary to be best suited for the whole group. After a full day of riding, laughing and sweating, we will head back to the accommodation.

Day 2 (or Day 2 & 3 on longer trips)

Based on the first day, we start exploring more of the different combinations of daily tours available to us. After a few runs in the mornings we will stop for lunch at a local restaurant or a scenic spot for a picnic. Depending on your energy level we will keep riding for a few more hours or take it easy and enjoy some time to relax.

Day 3 (or Day 4-6 on longer trips)

We will keep exploring the the various trails in the the region. Starting in Terras de Bouro, get ready to tackle some challenging terrain as you make your way through the breathtaking Peneda-Gerês National Park. With its rugged mountains, crystal-clear lakes, and lush forests, this area is a paradise for mountain bikers looking for a challenge. Moving on to the charming town of Ponte de Lima, where you can explore the beautiful Lima River valley and its picturesque villages. One day we will probably explore Viana do Castelo, a city with a rich history and stunning beaches. Take in the stunning views from the top of the Santa Luzia Hill or relax on the sandy beaches of Cabedelo. Alternatively, we might explore the region Minho, where you'll find some of the most scenic trails in Portugal, with views of rolling hills, vineyards, and quaint villages. This region is famous for its excellent wine, so don't miss the opportunity to try some while you're there. With its mix of challenging terrain, scenic landscapes, and cultural treasures, mountain biking in The North is a must-do for any adventurous rider.

Departure Day

Today we will take it easy in the morning, round off the trip and return back to the airport.

TRIP ENQUIRY

Given the variety of the terrain, we have a lot of opportunities to cater to all levels. To make sure you enjoy The North to its full extent we recommend you are comfortable on your bike in both forest, rocky and technical terrain.

For the MTB tours the trails are partially accessed by shuttle, but in order to reach our favourite trails we typically pedal and push for shorter sections of up to 30 minutes.

Skill Level Recommended:

Intermediate

You have ridden enduro and/or downhill mountain biking at least 10 times and master root sections and rock gardens as long as it's not too steep. You still handle the steeper trails while they are not too technical.

Fitness Level Recommended:

The Striving Prospect

You can pedal uphill 1 hour per day and climb 300m during consecutive days riding. You don't mind steep uphill climbs for about 10 to 15 minutes at the time. Downhill you happily ride up to 3000 verticals per day. You exercise on average 2 times per week.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
