Arrival Day

You will be met at Faro airport and driven to your guest house/hotel. Upon arrival you will have time to settle in and make sure you have everything for the first day of riding. If the time allows, we'll go for a sunset ride at Falésia beach.

Day 1

After breakfast you will head out for your first day of riding. Typically, on our first day we start with some warm-up trails to become one with the bike and to adjust the itinerary to be best suited for the whole group. After a full day of riding, laughing and sweating, we will head back to the accommodation.

Day 2 (or Day 2 & 3 on longer trips)

Based on the first day, we start exploring more of the different combinations of daily tours available to us. There are plenty of different areas to explore in Algarve such as FONTE FÉRREA, a Natural Park in Serra do Caldeirão, where the National MTB Enduro Cup takes place, or MONCHIQUE, where the highest hill of Algarve is situated, offering both fast and flowy trails as well a technical single tracks. After a few runs in the mornings we will normally stop for lunch at a local restaurant or a scenic spot for a picnic. Depending on your energy level we will keep riding for a few more hours or take it easy and enjoy some time by the beach.

Day 3 (or Day 4-6 on longer trips)

We will keep exploring the trails in the Algarve region. In addition to the above areas we also have the option to explore areas such as CARVOEIRO/ SRA da ROCHA, known for its unique features off the beaten trail, FALÉSIA, with the orange cliffs along the coastline and CORDOAMA, the famous beach area along the west coast.

Departure Day

Today we will take it easy in the morning, round off the trip and return back to the airport.

TRIP ENQUIRY

Given the variety of the terrain, we have a lot of opportunities to cater to all levels. To make sure you enjoy Algarve to its full extent we recommend you are comfortable on your bike in both forest, rocky and technical terrain.

For the MTB tours the trails are partially accessed by shuttle, but in order to reach our favourite trails we typically pedal and push for shorter sections of up to 30 minutes.

Skill Level Recommended:

Intermediate

You have ridden enduro and/or downhill mountain biking at least 10 times and master root sections and rock gardens as long as it's not too steep. You still handle the steeper trails while they are not too technical.

Fitness Level Recommended:

The Happy Amateur

You can pedal your bike uphill at least 30 minutes per day and climb 150m during several consecutive days. Comfortably ride 1500 vertical meters per day downhill before the notorious cramp makes an entrance. You exercise on average at least once per week.
