Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival, you’ll be picked up at the airport and taken to your hotel. After settling in and getting your bike fitted, enjoy a welcome dinner to kick off the adventure.

 

Day 2: Flight to Pokhara

Fly to the beautiful lakeside city of Pokhara, nestled beneath the Annapurna range. Spend the day exploring, relaxing, and preparing for the journey ahead.

 

Day 3: Flight to Jomsom & Lubra Trails

Take a scenic flight to Jomsom, with incredible views of the Himalayas. From Jomsom, hit the iconic Lubra Trails, known for thrilling descents and stunning high-altitude terrain.

 

Day 4: Kagbeni to Ghami via Gyula Pass (4500m)

Shuttle to Jhong, hike and bike to the Gyula Pass at 4,500 meters, and enjoy a long, exhilarating descent to Chuksang. After lunch, we pack up and drive 2.5 hours to Ghami (3,500m) for the night.

 

Day 5: Ghami to Charang via Dhakmar

Shuttle to Dhakmar and ride its scenic, flowy trails to Charang. Stop for lunch at the famous Maya Inn before visiting Ghar Gumba, the oldest monastery in the world. End the day with a thrilling descent to the hotel.

 

Day 6: Charang to Lho Manthang

Drive to Ghar Gumba, then hike and bike over a 4,300-meter pass. The descent takes you into the historic walled city of Lho Manthang, a cultural gem steeped in Tibetan tradition.

 

Day 7: Explore Lho Manthang

Take a rest day to explore the wonders of Lho Manthang. Visit monasteries, wander through the Chhoser caves, or enjoy optional rides or drives to nearby sites.

 

Day 8: Lho Manthang to Tange

Start the day with a short drive to the Lho Manthang viewpoint before embarking on an epic trail ride to Dhee. After lunch, we drive to Tange Pass and descend into the charming village of Tange.

 

Day 9: Tange to Paa Pass (4000m)

Prepare for the toughest yet most rewarding day of the trip. Hike and bike to Paa Pass, then ride along incredible ridge lines at 4,000 meters. End the day with a descent to Chuksang and drive to Marpha for the night.

 

Day 10: Marpha to Tatopani via Aloo Baari Trail

Shuttle to the Aloo Baari (Potato Field) Trail for a breathtaking descent to Marpha. From there, ride to Tatopani and unwind in its famous natural hot springs. After packing up the bikes, drive 3 hours to Pokhara.

 

Day 11: Flight to Kathmandu

Fly back to Kathmandu and enjoy your final day exploring the vibrant capital or relaxing at your leisure.

 

Day 12: International Departure

Transfer to the airport for your international departure, taking with you unforgettable memories of Nepal’s incredible trails and landscapes.

TRIP ENQUIRY

To get the the maximum out of your mountain biking experience to Nepal we recommend being an advanced to expert mountain biker. However, we can still accommodate riders that are intermediate for this trip with some minor adjustments to the itinerary. For Advanced rider all trails are rideable and for intermediate there are a few places where you might prefer to push the bike down for a short bit. There are plenty of different options so depending on the level of your group we will adjust the itinerary accordingly.

Roots, rocks, drops and tight switchbacks are no match for you even in steep and exposed terrain. You feel confident in riding longer trails with sustained technical features as well as handling some exposed sections with no-fall zones.

Fitness Level Recommended:

The Avid Athlete

You are no stranger to pedal uphill for 2,5 hours per day on average during a trip and can also push your bike in steep terrain for about 2 hours per day. You ride downhill up to 5,000 verticals per day. On average you exercise 3 times per week.
