Founded in 2008 by two ski loving Swedes, the Ski Lodge Engelberg has become the natural habitat for adventure seekers from all over the world. The Lodge offers comfortable and spacious rooms, a jacuzzi and a sauna after a long day ripping up trails as well as a lively bar and restaurant with the best food in town (according to the local rumour). Ski Lodge Engelberg is as much the natural water hole for the locals of Engelberg just as it is for world famous action sport athletes.
Arrival in Zurich where a LeRipp representative will pick you up for the transfer to Ski Lodge Engelberg. After check, the guide will go through the weekend's plans before dinner is served in the hotel's restaurant. According to the word on the street the best restaurant in town.
Explore the Engelberg valley. We start with a few warm up runs in the bike park on the Titlis side in classic alpine terrain with a long and dreamy descent back to town. After lunch we head over to Brunni, the sunny side, where we enjoy the views of the characteristic peaks of Hahnen and Spannort while pedalling up to Brunni Hütte. We grab a quick coffee on the sunny terrace before heading down the locally famous single track Walenpfad all the way down to Wolfenschiessen. From here we take the train back to a well deserved après bike at Ski Lodge.
After a steady breakfast, bike check and tuning we head out for our first trail. During these days we normally head down the valley from Engelberg covering the areas around the Lac Lucerne, Beckenreid and Sarnen. For the braves ones, each day is ended with a dip in a lake followed by a well-earned après bike in the Ski Lodge garden, topped off with a filling and delicious 3-course dinner.
Flexible day. Depending on your departure time there is the opportunity to go for half a day riding or simply relax at the lodge and explore the town of Engelberg.
In order to enjoy Engelberg's true treasures we recommend being an advanced mountain biker who is comfortable in steep and technical terrain (this does not apply to our MTB Skills Camps). The technical sections however, are usually not too long and are mixed with flowy and less technical terrain.
In the areas around the Engelberg valley we are getting most help uphill from lifts and shuttles or e-bikes. However, in order to maximize the fun we will aim to pedal and push shorter sections for up to 30 minutes per trail for our standard enduro trips.
You have ridden a enduro and/or downhill mountain bike at least 10 times and master root sections and rock gardens as long as it's not too steep. You still handle the steeper trails while they are not too technical.
You can pedal your bike uphill at least 30 minutes per day and climb 150m during several consecutive days. Downhill you can ride 1500 vertical meters per day before the notorious cramp makes an entrance. You exercise on average at least once per week.
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
